Tornado Sucks up Smoke From Colorado's Weston Pass Fire

Joe Russo on Thursday, 5 July, captured rare footage of a tornado sweeping through a part of Park County, Colorado, that had been impacted by the Weston Pass wildfire.

The National Weather Service tweeted the tornado was an unusual sight for Park County, which has only had six tornadoes since records began in the 1950s. The Denver Post reported tornadoes are rarely seen around wildfires and in areas like Fairplay, Colorado, which is around 10,000 feet above sea level. Credit: Joe Russo via Storyful
