Arianespace Rocket Carries Five Satellites Into Orbit
The Arianespace Vega rocket launched from the Guiana Space Center on September 15, carrying a payload of five satellites into outer space.
The satellites, officially known as the Peru Sat-1 and SkySats 4, 5, 6 and 7, will be used to capture high-resolution images of Earth, Spaceflight Insider reported. The Peru Sat-1, operated by the Peruvian Armed Forces, is the country’s first Earth observation satellite, while the four SkySats are controlled by Terra Bella, a Google science company.
