Astronauts Throw 'Longest Hail Mary Ever' Ahead of Super Bowl
Astronauts at the International Space Station attempted to see how far a football could travel at zero gravity in a video released on February 3. The ball was thrown inside the ISS, which travels at 17,500 miles per hour orbiting the Earth.
Considering the distance the station traveled while the ball was on course, it travelled a total of 564,664 yards. The crew called it the “longest Hail Mary pass ever.”
