Atlas Rocket Blasts 'Secret' USAF Payload Into Space
An Atlas rocket lifted off from Cape Canaveral, Florida, Wednesday, May 20, shown in this video climbing into the sky to reach an average speed of 3,000 miles per hour and carrying aloft the US Air Force’s X-37B space plane and a solar sailing craft. The United Launch Alliance Atlas V transported more secretive cargo as well, including a US National Reconnaissance Office satellite. The X-37 is an unmanned, reusable craft.
