Ban Ki-Moon Says He's 'Ready to Give All' as Enthusiastic Crowds Greet Him at Incheon Airport

Ban Ki-Moon, the former UN Secretary-General, landed at Incheon Airport in South Korea on January 12, where a large crowd had gathered to greet him.

While he has not officially declared his candidacy, Ban is seen as a leading contender to become South Korea’s next president.

Ban addressed the crowd at the airport, saying, according to Yonhap, “I have already said that I am ready to give my all (for the country) and my determination remains unchanged.”

The reporter who filmed this footage described an at-times “rowdy” reception, including the moment he was hit in the head with a bouquet of flowers. Credit: Twitter/Bruce Harrison via Storyful
