Bin Laden Bemoans Use of 'Big Money' in Wars in Newly-Released Video

The Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) released a tranche of documents recovered from Osama bin Laden’s compound in Pakistan after the May 2, 2011, raid that killed him. Video in the newly declassified documents includes handwritten letters believed to have been written by bin Laden’s son Saad and this, a draft video of a speech called “Despotism of Big Money.”

In the video, bin Laden addresses the “American people” and criticizes the role of money in wars between the United States and al Qaeda. He appears to wear similar clothes, and is seated in front of a similar backdrop, to those seen in a video released by the Pentagon in May 2011.
