Drone Shows Flood Conditions in Sparks After Weekend Storm

The Truckee River in the Reno-Sparks area of Nevada crested on Monday, January 9, after flooding, brought by weekend storms in California and Nevada, hit several areas on Sunday.

Washoe County officials reported early on Monday that the river had begun leveling off in downtown Reno. However, conditions were still said to be dangerous. Multiple road closures remained in place in the wider area, and authorities warned residents to avoid unnecessary travel.
