Explosions, Gunfire Reported at Dayax Hotel in Mogadishu

A number of people were reportedly killed and injured amid explosions and gunfire at the Dayax hotel in Mogadishu, Somalia, on January 25.

A number of MPs were reportedly staying at the hotel. A gun battle was under way following the explosions.

Local media cited medical sources as saying at least three people had been killed and 30 injured in the incident.

The attack was condemned by the UN in Somalia.
