FDNY Displays Flags for Firefighters Who Died on 9/11

The New York Fire Department held a memorial service at St. Patrick’s Cathedral on Saturday, September 10, to mark the 15th anniversary of the September 11 attacks. As part of the ceremony, 343 American flags were brought into the church. Each flag represents one of the firefighters who died on September 11, 2001.

At the end of the ceremony, the flags were brought out of St. Patrick’s Cathedral for a procession down 5th Avenue in front of the church. A part of the procession can be seen in this video. Credit: Facebook/FDNY
