Forest Fire Smoke Covers Vina Del Mar
The government declared a state of emergency in Valparaiso and Vina del Mar on Friday, March 13, as encroaching forest fires threatened the cities on Chile’s Pacific coast. The mayor expected around 15,000 people would be evacuated as firefighters battled the out of control fire, according to reports.
