Harvesting a Crop of Cranberries

The harvesting of cranberries is a rather fascinating process. Finally, an aerial recording captured over a sea of the red fruits reveals an insight into the work. As farm manager Mike told Storyful, “cranberries float, so they are raked off the plants into water” and later “once corralled, a berry pump pumps the berries into waiting wagons”. The fruits can then be distributed and the ground readied for another year’s production. Credit: YouTube/Gopher Aerial
