Louisiana's Red River Continues to Rise, Forcing Evacuations

Residents near the Red River in Louisiana are being pushed from their homes as the river continues to rise. The Bossier Parish Police Jury reported on June 3 that electricity was cut off from one neighborhood in case water enters ground-level power boxes. The water is in backyards and across the streets, which can be seen in this video.

The river is expected to crest at 34.5 feet on June 6, according to local media. Credit: Facebook/Bossier Parish Police Jury
