Lufthansa CEO Releases Statement on A320 Crash

Lufthansa CEO Carsten Spohr released a statement on Wedneday, March 25, one day after an Airbus A320 aircraft operated by Lufthansa’s Germanwings carrier crashed in the French Alps, killing 144 passengers and six crew on board.

Spohr expressed his condolences to the relatives of the passengers and crew members who lost their lives, before emphasizing Lufthansa’s commitment to safety.

“Visiting the crash site yesterday I was once again, in a shocking moment, made aware of a fact that all of us in Lufthansa know so well, safety in aviation is not a given,” he said. “We will work day and night, also in the next days in weeks, to make sure that flying is once again made even safer.” Credit: YouTube/Lufthansa
