Man Conducts Explosive Stress Test on Samsung Galaxy Note 7 Battery

A man whose Samsung Galaxy Note 7 exploded decided to conduct a stress test on the phone’s battery.

This video shows the lithium battery sizzling and exploding after it is hit several times with a hammer.

According to a report by technology website CNET, lithium batteries can explode due to pressure, and the Galaxy Note 7 is far from the first smartphone to explode due to battery issues. It is, however, one of the first phones to catch fire as many as 112 times after only one month on sale.
