Meramec River to Top Levees, Evacuations Ordered

Mandatory evacuation orders were put into place for Valley Park, Missouri, residents on Wednesday, December 30. The Meramec River is expected to top the levees and flood the community, according to local media.

The Meramec River is among those that have reached major flood stage in Missouri after heavy rains in the Midwest last weekend. The Mississippi and Missouri rivers may also reach historic flooding levels.
