Pope Francis Meets Families, Visits Landmarks as Mexico Trip Continues

Pope Francis’ five-day tour of Mexico has continued with visits to several local landmarks, including the Cathedral of San Cristóbal de las Casas and the Chiapas state capital of Tuxtla Gutierrez.

This footage shows the pope meeting families, waving to onlookers in the popemobile and attending Holy Mass.

The pope’s visit to Mexico, which began on the evening of February 12 and attracted some 5,000 spectators, continues as the religious leader plans to visit several areas of the country wracked by drug wars and poverty. Credit: YouTube/vatican
