Possible Tornado Damages Iowa Homes, Apartment Buildings

Dozens were displaced in Vinton, Iowa, on Sunday, July 17, after a tornado damaged several homes and apartment buildings. The National Weather Service confirmed two tornadoes in Iowa on Sunday, and researchers were due to assess more damage on Monday. At least four apartment complexes were damaged in Vinton, and a cell tower also sustained damage, knocking out phone service, according to a report.
