Protesters March for Missing Guerrero State Students in Mexico City
Thousands took to the streets in Mexico City, and across the country, to mark the anniversary of the disappearance of 43 student teachers in Guerrero state. Protestors called it the “day of indignation” (día de la Indignación), marching with banners and pictures of the missing men and women. In Mexico city, the protest began near the Los Pinos presidential residence and marched down down Paseo de la Reforma to the Zocalo square.
A march also took place in the capital of Guerrero state, Chilpancingo, attended by students, politicians and businesspeople, according to Animal Politico.
