Russian Proton Rocket Carries Intelsat Into Orbit

The Russian federal space agency Roscosmos successfully launched the Intelsat DLA-2 satellite into orbit from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan on Thursday, June 9. Technical problems pushed back the launch which was originally slated for late 2015 to June 9. The Intelsat DLA-2 satellite will beam DirecTV’s television channels to homes in Latin America.
