Thousands Protest Against Charlie Hebdo Depictions of Prophet Mohammed

Thousands of protesters took part in marches across Afghanistan on January 23 to demand cartoonists at Charlie Hebdo apologize for their recent depiction of the Prophet Mohammed.

The “survivors” edition of the magazine, which showed the prophet on its cover with a tear in his eye and holding a “Je Suis Charlie” sign, was published in response to a deadly shooting attack at the magainze’s offices on January 7.
