Typhoon Lando Lashes Luzon Island
Tens of thousands of people have been evacuated as Typhoon Lando made landfall on Luzon Island in the northern Philippines on Sunday. At least two people were killed and five more injured by the storm which brought 100mph winds, heavy rain and flooding. Forecasters warned that the storm, which is known internationally as Typhoon Koppu, has weakened but will remain a threat until it moves away from the Philippines on Tuesday, reported GMA News.
