University of Oklahoma Football Team Stage Walkout

The University of Oklahoma football team turned up at a scheduled practice session at the university’s Everest Training Centre on March 9, and announced that they would not be practicing, according to local reports. The demonstration was said to be a decision taken by players and coaching staff.

The University had opened an investigation after a video said to show students from the Sigma Alpha Epsilon (SAE) singing a racist chant was published online on March 8. The national SAE also announced on Twitter that it had closed the Oklahoma Kappa chapter and suspended all its members.
