US Releases Video of Iraqi Tanks Firing in Ramadi

Iraq’s armed forces have reportedly taken back substantial portions of the city of Ramadi, according to media and military reports, and are now fighting building-to-building against as many as 1,000 Islamic State militants. This video, released Thursday, December 10, by the Combined Joint Task Force/Operation Inherent Resolve, is said to depict Iraqi tanks firing and hitting targets in the strategic Anbar province city.

Operation Inherent Resolve coalition and Iraqi forces have killed at least 350 IS militants in the last week, a senior US military official told the Stars and Stripes newspaper. The Islamic State group has held the city since May.
