New York Officials Implode Ulster County Bridge

New York officials imploded a bridge in Ulster County to make way for its replacement on Wednesday, January 25. The bridge, which spanned Rondout Creek in High Falls, is due to be replaced by June 30, according to a local report.

The 85-year-old bridge was “functionally obsolete” and was rated at a 3.92 at its last inspection, according to the report. The scale considers any bridge rated 5 or higher on a scale up to 7 to be in good condition.
