五月的馨香，一群氣韻高雅、風姿綽約的淑女們，輕挽著氣宇非凡、風度翩翩的紳士們，踩踏著優雅的步履，在青綠草地間輕舞飛揚，優雅穿梭於雕龍畫鳳的華夏古典建築間，廊前紅柱、金碧琉璃、稜窗飛簷，更顯得令人注目，派對中不斷傳唱出東西交映的音符，彷彿邀請在旁觀看的人們說：「歡迎加入！」。
當外子所服務的西屋公司（Westinghouse）外派他回臺服務時，若有執行長或高級主管們來臺灣訪問就會出現此種畫面。現今交通更為便捷，人們已生活在地球村，搭機從西方到東方，往返已不成問題，不似過往的艱難而繁雜，因此我甚愛將東、西方的人物、建築與背景元素融入其中，視覺上顯得突出又調和，在西方建築中融入東方的人文風格，抑或是東方建築崁入西方的元素，顯得意外調合又獨具美感。

In a fragrant May, a group of elegant and beautifully dressed ladies holding the handsome and graceful gentlemen, are lightly dancing on a green lawn, gracefully shuttling between elaborately carved Chinese classic buildings. Oriental and Western music constantly come out from the party, as if saying to the bystanders, “Welcome to join in!” (When my late husband was employed by Westinghouse in Taiwan, if executives or high officials were visiting from the United States, this is the kind of scene that would appear.)
