喜劇演員凱文哈特(Kevin Hart)本周才風光宣布，接下2019年2月電影奧斯卡金像獎頒獎典禮主持人的棒子，沒想到不到48小時就宣布推掉這個工作。
「華盛頓郵報」報導，哈特在7日凌晨發推文指出，主辦奧斯卡的影藝學院(Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences)要求他為過去曾發出有排斥同性戀字眼的多篇推文道歉，而他一開始拒絕這麼做。
哈特在深夜推文中說：「我決定從主持奧斯卡的位子退下，因為我不希望在這個有許多耀眼藝人歡慶的夜晚，自己轉移了大家注意力。對於過去曾發出這些感覺遲鈍的文字，我誠心對LGBTQ(男女同性戀、雙性戀、跨性別者)社群致歉。」

其實在6日晚間，哈特還在Instagram發表的一支影片上堅稱，他不會為了這些老推文道歉。
第91屆奧斯卡金像獎將於明年2月24日舉行，而哈特將擔綱主持人的消息本周發布後，他過去的推文就被外界拿放大鏡檢視。若有任何人想攻擊哈特沒資格當奧斯卡主持人，很容易從他的一堆恐同言論中挑毛病。

新聞網站BuzzFeed News報導，本周被哈特刪除的一則2011年推文就說，「喂，如果我兒子回家想玩我女兒的洋娃娃屋子，我就要打破他的頭，用我的聲音說『你給我住手，那是同性戀』」。
報導指出，只要娛樂圈宣布任何大活動的重要人選，發掘當事人過去是否在推文中嘲笑且冒犯別人，幾乎成為一種慣例。
例如，曾任成龍電影「尖峰時刻」(Rush Hour)導演的布萊特瑞納(Brett Ratner)，在用了排斥同性戀的字眼後，辭去2011年奧斯卡頒獎典禮製作人的職務。
電影「星際異攻隊」(Guardians of the Galaxy)導演詹姆斯岡恩(James Gunn)，在推特上曾提到性侵與兒童色情笑話，被外界挖出來後，迪士尼把他從這部電影第三集的導演位子拉下馬。
報導提到，這幾年影藝學院愈來愈難找到理想的奧斯卡頒獎典禮主持人選，因為主持人年齡不能太老，免得年輕觀眾不感興趣；又不能太年輕，免得資深重量級好萊塢人士不認同。
這個人要有話題，又不能太爭議；要有一定的品味和地位，又不能擺架子等等，這些都導致理想的主持人選難產。
