AKIKO FUJITA: Well Apple's next generation AirPods Pro will be available in stores starting tomorrow, with upgrades ranging from improved active noise cancellation to a longer battery life. Let's bring in Yahoo Finance's Dan Howley who's got his hands on the product already. Is it worth the $250 upgrade?

DAN HOWLEY: In a nutshell, Akiko, yes, they are worth the $250 upgrade. These are the new AirPods right here. I can pop one out. And they are, essentially, a big improvement over the other Pros or the prior generation Pros.

They say they have two-times the noise-canceling capabilities. That I've seen for sure. There's better audio quality, as far as bass, as far as highs. There's a new transparency mode that when you have it on lets you hear the outside world but silences annoying noises like a subway going by or jackhammers from construction projects. Makes those easier to deal with.

And then the case, itself, has also gotten an upgrade. You can use your Apple Watch charger. And it has precision tracking via the Find My App. So if you do misplace it, you can just say find my, through the app, and then you can get walked to it within a couple of inches of the case itself. So these definitely are worth the upgrade, $249. I'm actually gonna go for it for myself.

AKIKO FUJITA: Yeah, the tracking part of it is really important, right? I can't tell you how many people have lost it. They're so small. So you just kind of misplace them. You said it was a game changer, yesterday. I'm gonna go check them out. I might be willing to pay. It's been a few years since I've upgraded. Dan Howley, thanks so much for that.
