DAVE BRIGGS: Guess who's back? Barney, your favorite purple dinosaur will return in an animated series launching next year. In addition to new content, Mattel is turning out a new line of Barney toys, books, and accessories in 2025. Now, Barney was born way back in 1992, but has been off the air since 2010.

Said Mattel global head of consumer products Josh Silverman, quote, "Barney's message of love and kindness has stood the test of time," which is interesting, Seana, because before that animated series comes out next year, Peacock will debut a docuseries in October entitled, "I Love You, You Hate Me." No joke, that's what the docuseries will be called because so many people hate Barney.

SEANA SMITH: So many people hate Barney. Or you either hate him, or you love him. I loved him. I actually tried to get-- I didn't even know about this news, and I tried to get my three-year-old to watch Barney over the weekend. He's a little young for it, but it is educational. It does get the kids' attention. I think there are a lot of reasons to like it. Do I think he does get a bit annoying sometimes? Yes, but I don't think you can go as far and say that you hate Barney. It's just a purple dinosaur after all.

DAVE BRIGGS: Can you sing the jingle?

SEANA SMITH: How's it go again? Try. Try. Putting you on the spot.

DAVE BRIGGS: (SINGING) I love you.

BOTH: You love me.

SEANA SMITH: Yes, I do know.

DAVE BRIGGS: I don't know the rest of it, but I know when I hear it, it makes me want to pull my hair out. So I think that docuseries title is perfect. I do tend to hate him a little bit, but it's a good move by Mattel. I think there is probably a big audience out there. And maybe they'll tweak that jingle a little bit, right?

SEANA SMITH: Yeah, they could tweak the jingle. They can make it-- but I mean, you know what? It works for them. It's very catchy. Once you hear it, it's hard to get out of your head. I actually couldn't think of it. And then right when you started singing it, it brought me back years and years and years ago. So I think it makes a lot of sense for Mattel. We'll see what the numbers look like. We'll see what their product line looks like. I'm excited. You're not. You don't have kids, though, that are as young as mine, so that's why.

DAVE BRIGGS: I love you.
