Blizzard Warning Issued Amid Strong Wind and Bitter Cold in Minnesota
Blizzard warnings continued for parts of Minnesota on Wednesday, January 5, as strong winds and light snow caused hazardous travel conditions, according to the National Weather Service.
The NWS warned that wind gusts of up to 40 mph would cause low visibility amid the snowfall.
Temperatures plummeted to as low as -22 degrees Fahrenheit on Sunday, with hazardous wind chills as low as -35 Fahrenheit expected to continue into Friday, the NWS said.
