- Ford also ramping up the competition for Tesla with its Mustang EV. So what's the latest there?

- Yeah. So we've seen a lot of the Ford Mach-E, the crossover EV car that's gotten a lot of buzz. North American Car of the Year, Car Drivers first ever EV of the Year. A lot of different really good accolades for that. And I drove it too. It's actually a really capable EV, very sporty, it drives great. My knock on it was the range wasn't the best. You get a little less than 250 miles of range per charge, not that great there.

So last quarter, it sold around 18,000-- sorry, this year, 18,000 Mach-E's this year alone, which is pretty good up around 30% or so versus last year. But Tesla makes around 100,000 Model Y's in the same time. So a long way to go, but good news for Ford. People are actually excited about their cars, especially their EVs. And the Lightning also on sale too.

- And you said very capable EV, which is not exactly a ringing endorsement of, like, this was a really exciting car to drive.

- Maybe not the right wording there. I mean, it actually was an exciting car to drive. It drove well, really good handling, great chassis, good power too. So I think it's a great offering in the EV portfolio of all these companies coming out, but it's still kind of competing under the shadow of Tesla.

- Yeah. There's no giant killer, right?

- Yeah, yeah, yeah.

- That we've seen as of yet.

- I mean, the delivery side though too that is it a better delivery cycle than some of the other competitors in the market? I mean, Ford had struggled with delivering the Bronco as well.

- Yeah. I mean, it's seeing 18,000 this year I think is pretty impressive. It didn't sound like that much. But for Ford to ramp up there, to put any out there and to sell them and people want them, I think it's pretty impressive. Maybe next year we'll see 50,000 in that same time period. So I think they're trending in the right direction.
