Energy sector slumps amid broader market sell-off

AKIKO FUJITA: Welcome back to Yahoo Finance Live. We are continuing to see a selloff on Wall Street, with the Dow down 520 points, the S&P 500 down roughly 100. And the NASDAQ down more than 3% there, with those tech names continuing to sell off. Energy also sinking. We've seen that sector down more than 6% there. A lot of that coming on the back of the commodity moves we've seen with oil down 6% as well. It's still the best performing sector this year, though, and the only sector in the green. We're talking about energy, of course, up about 40% in 2022.
