A father and son have won the world's oldest gas balloon race
Date: September 2, 2022
Wilhelm and Benjamin Eimers set off from St. Gallen in Switzerland
and flew 977 miles in a straight line to the Bulgarian Black Sea coast
It took them two days, 12 hours and 50 seconds to travel across at least 7 countries
This is the fifth time that the 72-year-old father bagged his victory in the 'Gordon Bennett Cup'
but the Eimers are the first father and son team to win the race
