Fire Ignites After Lightning Punctures Underground Gas Line in Tennessee

A lightning strike in Dresden, Tennessee, caused a low-pressure gas line to puncture, igniting a fire, the local fire service said on October 7.

According to the Dresden Fire Department, crews were responding to a small fire outside a house on Evergreen Street.

Upon arrival, firefighters found lightning had struck a gas line, causing a fire along the ground.
