German Army Deployed as Death Toll Rises in Severe Flooding

The death toll amid severe flooding in Germany rose to 93 on July 16, Die Welt reported. Approximately 1,300 people remained unaccounted for, the paper said.

The German Army was deployed to North Rhine-Westphalia, the most impacted state, they said.

More than 700 soldiers were deployed in 20 districts, officials said.
