Heavy Rain Brings Flooding to East Providence

Heavy rain caused localized flooding in East Providence, Rhode Island, on Tuesday, August 23, with the Rhode Island State police reporting road closures

Earlier in the day, the Rhode Island Department of Transportation said all travel lanes on Interstate 195 west in East Providence were blocked due to the flooding. The lanes were later reopened after cleanup efforts.
