Helicopter Overflight Shows Kilauea's Erupting Vents and Lava Lake
A helicopter overflight by the United States Geological Survey (USGS) on Wednesday, December 30, of Hawaii’s Kilauea volcano showed erupting vents and the lava lake inside the Halemaumau crater.
According to the USGS, the helicopter flew over the volcano at 10 am local time to track the activity and assess hazards.
