Herd of Deer Ride Out Snowstorm With Help From Michigan Hunt Club
An outdoorsman in Eagle Lake, Michigan, recorded a herd of deer congregating in a field during a snowstorm earlier this year.
Footage shot by E Neil Harri and posted to Facebook on February 14 shows some of the deer “yarding up” and nuzzling the snowy ground while others look inquisitively toward Harri. He wrote that the local Calumet-Keweenaw Sportsmen’s Club feeds “over 850 deer every day during the winter months.”
“There are always a few wolves there culling the herd," Harri wrote in Facebook comments under the post, explaining how difficult it was for deer to survive harsh winters without organizations such as the sportsmen’s club. Credit: E Neil Harri via Storyful
