Home building costs rose 10.9% since 2021: BofA

BRIAN SOZZI: All right, let's say on inflation here. Based on producer price index data and assuming a stable home size, the content per home or cost to build a home finished last year at $120,502. According to new analysis from Bank of America, the content for home has increased another 10.9% to almost $135,000. The biggest driver of the increase is higher lumber and plywood prices, although they have come down from peak levels.
