Humpback Whale Lifts Kayaker

Berthold Hinrichs was kayaking in Senja, Norway on January 10 among a group of orca and humpback whales when he had a particularly close encounter. Berthold takes up the story: “They were hunting herring and they are very careful not to harm you… one humpback came up just beside me [then] I was completely on the back of him”.
