Live-Action Remake of “The Little Mermaid” Makes Splash

For a film that isn’t expected to arrive for another nine months the latest undersea adventure from Disney, a live-action remake of "The Little Mermaid" is already turning heads and setting social media afire with its casting of a person of color in the lead role. The teaser trailer shows Little Mermaid star Ariel as played by musician Halee Bailey, best known as half of the sister singing duo Chloe x Halle.
