SEANA SMITH: Let's kick it off with Krispy Kreme and McDonald's, giving their fans what they crave. Starting next month, McDonald's will be selling the donuts in 160 locations. It's just throughout Kentucky in Louisville and Lexington, in those surrounding areas. So here's what's going to be offered-- the original glazed donut, one of my favorites, the chocolate iced with sprinkles donut, and also the chocolate iced cream-filled donut. Now the burger chain is doing it to get a better read on customer demand and also how a larger scale, potentially, launch impacts restaurant operations.

McDonald's business has been holding up well with more people visiting its locations in the second half of the year. We know consumers are getting very cost conscious, many trading down. McDonald's has been benefiting, at least from now, or at least up until this point. From that, Krispy Kreme-- I'm a big fan of this. It's only in Kentucky, which I'm a little bummed about. But an afternoon stop by McDonald's, getting a donut, I like it.

JOSH SCHAFER: I think it's the pairing, too, right, Seana?

SEANA SMITH: Coffee.

JOSH SCHAFER: What do you have with the donut? You have a coffee, right? And McDonald's exactly, just a couple of weeks ago in the earnings call, when asked about what's the big growth driver for you this year, where do you think you can grow more, they said chicken and coffee. Well, if you're going to get that afternoon coffee, a donut does actually make sense. It pairs well with the coffee. I think that's sort of what they're going for here, Jared.

JARED BLIKRE: Yeah, hey, I'm not going to disagree here. I was just looking at Krispy Kreme stock here. Has been around for a while. I believe it came to market over the pandemic. Interesting chart here. Looks like we got the lowest low only recently. But like many other companies, up strongly off of those lows this year.
