Mexicans take baby Jesus for Candlemas blessing
STORY: At the mass celebration, people were seen holding their baby Jesus figures for their blessing with holy water.
Candlemas, also known as the Feast of the Presentation of Jesus Christ, is a popular tradition in Mexico City every February.
People dress up the baby Jesus to show adoration, in the hope that blessings will come.
Locals also celebrate by enjoying one of the flagship dishes of Mexican cuisine, tamales, a typical dish made with cornflour and accompanied by hot beverages.
