Officials Say 273,000 Acre Bootleg Fire May Not Be Contained Until November
The Bootleg Fire was measured at over a quarter million acres on July 17, less than two weeks after it broke out, as officials said the blaze would likely not be fully contained until November.
As of Saturday morning, the fire had grown to 273,582 acres and was 22 percent contained, according to official figures. Some 2,106 personnel are currently responding to the blaze.
