Oregon Zoo Takes Penguins on Ridiculously Cute Forest Field Trip
If you wondered whether penguins are still cute in the forest, the Oregon Zoo is here to help. The zoo posted footage of Humboldt penguins Nacho and Goat waddling through the greenery of the facility’s forest area on May 1 so you can decide.
Footage shows the penguin pair waddling and hopping over woodland grass, at one point battling over a leaf. They were accompanied by two caretakers, both wearing masks as a precaution against COVID-19.
On April 23, the zoo posted footage of Nacho going to see the zoo’s otter exhibit. Nacho and Goat have been able to explore due to the Oregon Zoo’s closure to visitors to help slow the spread of COVID-19. The zoo has been closed to the public since March 17. Credit: Oregon Zoo via Storyful
