Partial derailment of Metro subway train reported, MTA says
A subway train partially derailed above ground in northwest Baltimore, according to the Maryland Transit Administration. The MTA said the train operator reported around 6 p.m. Monday a railcar derailed as the train approached the Rogers Avenue station platform. The railcar remained upright and connected to the other cars. The Baltimore Firefighters IAFF Local 734 said paramedics treated injured passengers. The MTA said there were five riders onboard the derailed railcar and they were taken to hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries.
