Plane Drops Retardant on Arizona's Telegraph Fire

A major wildfire in Arizona’s southeast grew to more than 76,000 acres by Tuesday, June 8.

The Telegraph Fire stood at 76,260 acres on Tuesday, up from 61,211 acres the previous day.

Authorities said the fire was sparked on Friday near Top-of-the-World, a community in Arizona’s Gila and Pinal counties. Several areas had been ordered to evacuate.

Two homes and three outbuildings were confirmed to have been destroyed.
