Powerful Tornado and Storm Leave Dozens of Properties Damaged in Kansas
Multiple buildings were damaged in Marysville and Manhattan, Kansas, on June 11, after a tornado touched down near the former and powerful straight-line winds hit the latter.
Adam Staggenborg captured this footage east of Marysville, where the National Weather Service said a tornado touched, packing winds of up to 90 mph.
Locals described damage to property and downed power lines and trees, but no injuries were reported.
The Riley County Appraiser’s Office and Manhattan Fire Department’s Risk Reduction Division reported 41 residential and business properties suffered storm damage. They estimated $9.5 million worth of damage. Credit: Adam Staggenborg via Storyful
