Record-Breaking Snowfall Reported in Marquette, Michigan
Spring snow fell in the Lake Superior area in Michigan on May 2, the National Weather Service reported. Snowfall the previous day officially broke the daily snow record for Marquette, with more than 5 inches on the ground, local reports said.
Recent showers in the area brought the season’s snowfall to the tenth highest record for the area since observations began in 1961, the National Weather Service said. Instagram user @lakesuperiorgem shared this video on Thursday. Credit: @lakesuperiorgem via Storyful
