Residents Dig Out After Lake Effect Snow Buries Lackawanna, New York

Bands of lake effect snow impacted Lackawanna, New York, on December 26, producing blowing and drifting snow across the region, the National Weather Service (NWS) said.

Temperatures dropped overnight as southwest winds increased, bringing snowfall rates of two to three inches of snow per hour, according to NWS.
