Sacramento International Airport public parking rates will increase for the first time in 5 years

For the first time in five years, public parking rates at Sacramento International Airport will go up. The Sacramento County Board of Supervisors on Tuesday unanimously authorized a 5% increase per year over the next five years, starting at the beginning of 2023. A report on the board's meeting agenda argues that parking is already scarce at high-demand times at the airport and that it may run out of parking during the 2022 holiday season. SMF parking rates are also lower than other airports in the Northern California area and have not kept up with inflation, the report states.
